Christmas has its own magic. There’s the glow of lights. Carols sneak into your head. Joy hums in the air. But when you’re expecting a baby or preparing to welcome a little one, the season takes on a deeper meaning. Suddenly the Christmas story isn’t just something you read—it’s something you feel. . Suddenly Mary’s waiting becomes your waiting. Her faith becomes your comfort. Her surrender lights the path before you, becomes your roadmap.
If what you long for this Christmas is a slower, gentler, Christ-centered celebration—one that honors both the miracle of the season and the sacredness of motherhood—this guide was created with you in mind.

Here are 5 simple, intentional ways to keep Christ at the center of your holiday.
- Start Your Days With Scripture
Pause in the Waiting. I don’t recommend waking up to a to-do list, family plans, travel stress, or gift budgets instead choose to start with God.
Just 5–10 quiet minutes can transform your entire day. In that stillness, pray and invite Christ into your plans. Let His presence make the season holy. As you pause, you’ll notice a shift. Calmness replaces anxiety. Peace steadies your heart. Suddenly all the plans you had start to align . Decisions feel lighter—whether it’s choosing baby essentials, preparing the nursery corner, or simply navigating holiday routines. In His presence, even ordinary tasks carry grace.
You can read and Journal
- Luke 1–2 (traditional Christmas story)
- Isaiah 9:6
- Matthew 1:18-25
- Mary’s Song (Luke 1:46-55)

2. Create a Christ-Focused Atmosphere in Your Home
Creating a Christ-centered home doesn’t require Pinterest perfection or expensive décor. It’s about weaving small, intentional reminders of His presence into your everyday spaces. For example, light candles with intention is one way of creating a Christmas Christ- centered space. Advent candles remind us that Christ is the true Light. Each flame can symbolize hope, peace, joy, and love.Add scripture prints. Place a nativity set where you’ll see it daily. Hang a “Jesus stocking” for acts of kindness. Blast worship-filled Christmas playlists until your walls hum with truth.
Small reminders help keep hearts aligned.

3. Simplify Your Celebrations
Mary didn’t step into motherhood by achieving perfection. She stepped in through obedience.
So when the pressure rises to:
- Host the flawless Christmas meal
- Create Pinterest-worthy decorations
- Buy every single gift
Just pause.
This year, give yourself permission to slow down. Shift your focus from performance to being intentionally presence. You can for instant choose one tradition to keep and one to release this year. In letting go, you then create space for new pockets of peace, joy, and the presence of Jesus.
4. Give Generously — Even If It’s Small
The most meaningful gifts aren’t expensive—they’re personal. Generosity shifts the season from getting to giving, just like Jesus did. Think handwritten notes. Consider acts of service or homemade gifts. Cherish memory-making moments. Show kindness to a stranger. Offer a donation to a family in need.
For me? I love making memories with simple acts—like sharing a meal with a family who needs it. That’s the kind of gift that lingers long after the wrapping paper is gone.
Because sometimes:
“The most meaningful gifts aren’t expensive — they’re personal.”
5.Worship in the Waiting
Pregnancy and early motherhood are full of unknowns. And yes, those unknowns can feel unsettling. But they also hold space for growth, surrender, and grace. They remind you that motherhood isn’t about control—it’s about trust, presence, and love.
Worship turns uncertainty into confidence because its weapon and anchor.
Ways to worship:
- Stillness
- Music
- Scripture
- Prayer walks
- Journaling
This Christmas, may you rest in this truth:
💗 You are not just preparing for a holiday —
you are preparing for motherhood.
💗 You aren’t just decorating —
you are nesting for a miracle.
💗 You are not overwhelmed —
you are set apart.
Just like Mary, you have been chosen for this moment.
And Christ is with you — in every heartbeat, every prayer, every quiet night of preparation.
